MEET THE TEACHER

Miss Scholze

WELCOME TO K5!  I am Miss Scholze and I am excited to  be your student's teacher this year!  For those who don't know me, I was born and raised in Sparta, Wisconsin and after graduating from Pillsbury Baptist Bible college, I went back to my hometown and taught lower elementary there for seven years. The Lord then led be to Woodcrest Baptist Church & Academy.  I taught 5/6 grade for my first ten years here and then the Lord blessed me with Kindergarten!!!  This year I will be beginning my 26th year as WBA's K5 teacher.  I am blessed.

For the past thirty-five+ years I have been a member of Woodcrest Baptist Church and have been privileged to serve in many different areas of that ministry.

Black and White Star in Circle

Dear Parents,

We made it!   The first day of kindergarten is over and all is well!

Here are just  a few more things you need to know.

1.  Your child will be memorizing one Bible verse a week.  I am sending home their Bible verse packet.  We will work on the verse in school and I would like you to go over their verse with them at least once a night.  They will say them on Thursday.  Because this is a short week, we will begin with the ā€œAā€ verse next Thursday.

2.  Birthday treats can be brought on the day or near the day of your childā€™s birthday.  Those that have birthdays during the summer can celebrate it on their half-year ā€œbirthdayā€.  (Example - June 6 would bring their treat on Dec. 6.)  There are 13 students in our class and one teacher.  The students really seem to enjoy it if they can share their treat with the other elementary teachers and Mr. Isaacs, too. Because of Covid, treats need to be purchased and individually wrapped.  Sorry, no bakery cupcakes or cookies.

3.  Usually, I do not let your child bring any toys to school except on FRIDAY when we have Show & Tell. (Covid makes things different and I will allow that this year, but they will be the only ones allowed to play with it.) Please have them bring their Show & Tell item in a bag and help them think of 3 hints so the others can guess what it is.  Books may be brought anytime for snack time, but make sure your childā€™s name is in the book.

Thatā€™s all for now.  Hope all enjoyed their first day.  I know I did.

Sincerely,

Miss Scholze
